C
Concept
We choose to focus on the word “health” rather than “illness”.
We combine two unique therapy approaches to help individuals, couples and families who are currently experiencing a wide variety of personal and social challenges.
01
Therapeutic concept
By combining the following two therapy approaches, we help our clients to shape their experience in a self-effective, goal-oriented, intentional way.
Depth-psychology approach:
As part of a counselling programme based on depth-psychology, we work from the assumption that deep-seated, unconscious psychological processes also have an impact on our health as human beings. We react to the stimuli in the world around us based on the experiential patterns that we acquired during childhood and in later stages of life. From this perspective, unconscious conflicts from the past can be a useful starting point for therapy.
In our therapeutic work, we help our clients develop an empathetic understanding of the usefulness of the coping strategies that they adopted early in life, which is intended to indirectly and/or directly reduce their symptoms.
Systemic approach:
Systemic therapy takes a goal-, solution- and strategy-oriented approach to issues. The therapy programme consists of relatively few sessions, with longer periods of time in between the individual sessions if possible, which allows clients to take what they have learned during counselling and apply it to their day-to-day lives.
Observing the changes within the context of an expanded (systematic) relationship allows not only for changes and growth in terms of the client’s inner world, but also a change in the way that they interact with others.
